Distinguished Eagle Scout:

I have always been fascinated with the history of the Eagle Scout Award. A majority of my scouting memorabilia collection is Eagle Scout related items.

Distinguished Eagle Scout Dr. Terry Grove conducted lots of research on the history of the Eagle Scout Award. Terry and I would communicate with each other often about all the different varieties when it came to pins, charms, rank patches, advancement cards, congratulation cards, etc.

I was fortunate to purchase his DESA Pin / Charm collection after he passed away and combine it with my own. Terry’s latest book “100 Years of the Eagle Scout Award” was published in 2012 and showcases many varieties. Since that time, several more varieties have since been discovered and my goal is to expand the collection and continue his legacy. His book provided black and white pictures of some hallmarks. This website showcases all the varieties discovered to date in color and with high-resolution images.

A special thank you to Ron Oslin for photographing the collection.

If you have a hallmark that is not displayed, please contact me, so any new variety can be documented.

I am looking to purchase any DESA pins / charms, even if it is a duplicate shown.
